32 Participants on a good day for shooting National Skeet the sun was a devil on stand 1. Commenced at 11:00 and finished at 15:00 with a total payout of £230.00
Over the first 50 targets In AA Class Kenny McAuley & James McKeown on 50 straight / A Class Alistair Stewart was leading the way on 49 with Richard Dowse on 48 / B Class had Adrian King with a DT10 on 48 and Stephen Heron ( who had to persuaded to get out of bed ) on a 48 / C Class had Mervyn Gribbon on 46 and Martin Crossan on 43
The last 50 saw Kenny McAuley complete his 100, James McKeown dropped 2 for a 98, Alister Stewart finished on 98 with Richard Dowse on 97, Stephen Heron and Adrian King both finished on 97 ( great shooting by both ), Mervyn Gribbon finished on 91 and Martin Crossan on 1 behind 90.
The Shoot off for both high guns ( AA/A & B/C ) in AA/A Kenny & Richard dropped out on the first count and in B/C Mervyn was gone as well but the AA/A continued for a further 8 counts ( 48 targets ) James gave Alistair a chance to take high gun on the 5th count but he dropped a bird and James went on to win out. B/C continued on for 3 counts and Stephen came through.
