Each year after the Skeet Club International competition the Luke Walmsley Memorial Charity shoot takes place. Regardless of the hosting club all shooters will compete in the competition which is used to raise funds for the memorial and other charities.
Luke was 14 years of ages when he was tragically stabbed to death at Birkbeck Secondary School, North Somercotes, Lincolnshire on 4th November 2003. Luke loved his sport including Judo, Football and Clay Pigeon Shooting. He was a member of the Grimsby Judo Club and had attained his yellow belt.
Luke’s parents set up the Luke Walmsley Sport Foundation to create a permanent memorial to his life. Money raised goes towards providing new sports facility for the local community.
